the life and times of a modern storyteller.

I WANT TO SHARE STORIES WITH YOU.

Stories are the only way to makes sense of deep passionate yearnings inside of us.

They are stories of all kinds, of all formats. Some of them are your stories, some are mine, and some are the stories of people you pass on the street.

I share stories because they make my life tolerable and rich. Because I can’t do anything else.

Stories are the only way we make sense of deep passionate yearnings inside us; the only way we carry on past crippling grief; the only way life is given the artistic color, texture, and depth of being human.

I'm an author, speaker, and storyteller. But, in real life I'm a fairy princess.

"After Scott died

....I saw the world differently.

After Scott died I didn't want to live anymore.

After Scott died I didn't want to be me.

Scott died. I finally started to live."

Over the course of nine months, my family endured our biggest tragedy: the slow, painful, enigmatic death of my older brother, Scott. At age 22, still trying to navigate adulthood, I set out on an inward journey of self-discovery while also journeying through uncharted territories on the other side of the world: New Zealand.

A book of the heart, spoken from the heart, What the Heart Says is a story of survival in this beautiful mess we call life, and a way to find inspiration in the most unlikely places.
